Diagnostics & Treatment

Common Concerns

Diagnostics

Your face, your eyes and your tongue have different zones, which are directly connected to specific organs and glands in the body, and by carefully observing these areas, it is possible to understand if they are carrying any imbalances. This way of diagnosing origins from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and has been practiced in the East since ancient times. Throughout the years it has made way to the West and is now highly used by many holistic health practitioners, because of how much it reveals about a person’s health.

As a practitioner, I use this medicine art, in addition to carefully analyzing a comprehensive questionary that each client fills out. Together, these tools are powerful tools that can help in reveling the underlying root cause of certain disease is being experienced. Anything from deficient in nutrients, to inflammation, digestive issues, a compromised detoxification process, adrenal fatigue, suppressed emotions and much more can usually be detected.

How Does A Treatment Work?

Once a detailed analysis of your health is done, we will together develop a treatment plan that feels sustainable for you. Everything is individual and depends on your goals and what the analysis has shown, but the key aspect is to create the right circumstances for your body to heal, because that is what we originally are designed to do. A treatment can include everything from dietary changes, to supplements, homeopathy, mindfulness exercises, breathwork and more. Not always, but sometimes some tests may also be recommended depending on what the analysis shows. In the section below, you can read more about the different “keys” of Elevate Holistically, in order to help you unlockk optimized health.

10 Keys To Unlock Optimized Health

These are the main areas we will work with, depending on your specific needs.

Nervous System Regulation

Our nervous system is the body's communication hub, responsible for processing everything from the way we feel, think, and react to what’s happening inside and around us. It plays a key role in helping us respond to stress, manage our emotions, and regulate bodily functions. When the nervous system is in balance, we feel calm, clear, and in control. But when it becomes imbalanced, it can lead to a variety of challenges that impact both our physical and mental health.

The nervous system is made up of two main parts: the central nervous system (CNS), which includes the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system (PNS), which connects the brain to the rest of the body. Within the PNS, we have the autonomic nervous system (ANS), which controls automatic functions like breathing, heartbeat, and digestion. The balance between these systems is crucial for feeling grounded, relaxed, and resilient in the face of life's challenges.

When the nervous system is out of balance—whether from ongoing stress, emotional strain, or trauma—it can disrupt the way our body responds to the world. This can lead to feelings of anxiety, insomnia, overwhelm, and a general sense of disconnection from both our bodies and our emotions. You might notice physical symptoms like headaches, digestive issues, or muscle tension, alongside mental struggles such as brain fog, irritability, or an inability to focus

.

Many of us experience these symptoms without understanding that they often stem from a nervous system that is stuck in a heightened state of stress, sometimes referred to as the "fight or flight" mode. When this system becomes overactivated, it becomes much harder for the body to relax, heal, and return to a state of calm. Instead of bouncing back into balance, the nervous system can stay in a chronic state of tension or alertness, leading to a cascade of emotional and physical discomfort.

In our work together, I will share tools with you that are designed to calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and help you feel more centered in your daily life. This way we start by addressing the immediate stress and discomfort you might be feeling, through simple practices and lifestyle changes, but Then we also explore the root causes of the distress—whether that’s past experiences, unresolved emotions, or patterns of stress that have accumulated over time. By understanding and addressing these deeper layers, we help you not only find relief but also gain insight into how your body and mind are wired to respond to the world.

Holistic Detox

The human body is an extraordinary creation, capable of remarkable feats that often go unnoticed in our daily lives. From its intricate systems to its ability to adapt and heal, the body showcases incredible resilience and complexity. One of many seamlessly integrated processes it possesses, is the ability to clear and clean itself, either it’s from toxins or waste products produced by its own cells. The body does so through the help of its primary detoxification organs: liver, kidneys, lymph, lungs and skin.

Unfortunately, the increased number of toxins we are exposed to in todays industrialized society, is more than what are our vessels were built to handle, which can lead to an impaired detoxification function and a backup of harmful substances in our systems. As a result, we see many health issues and diseases becoming increasingly prevalent in many places of the world.

Not surprisingly, the concept “detoxing” has become increasingly popular over the last decade, and we see more and more detox methods, such as special diets, juices, teas, colon cleanses, liver detox kits etc. The initial idea with this is to assist the body, but while the intention is good, there are unfortunately a lot of misconceptions amongst commercial detox aids, potentially resulting in undesired outcomes, such as a toxins circulating and spreading through the blood stream. That is why it is very important to have a deeper understanding of how this process works, before blindly jumping on any trend. It is also crucial to understand your specific need for detoxification, as well as how strong your constitution is, in order to cleanse safely and efficiently.

If this is a key that you need we will cover all the mentioned aspects, and more. Questions about different detox programs, diets, parasite cleansing, water fasting etc. will be answered, so that we together can set up a plan tailored to your specific need. Further on, we will not only talk about how to clear ourselves internally, but also about the harmful substances that should be avoided in beauty and hygiene products, as well as in different areas of our homes. That way you will not only be able that cleanse what is already in your body, but also limit further pollution, so that you can be your most vibrant self.

Conscious Eating

Conscious eating is about being present with every aspect of your meal, not just the food itself, but how it's produced, how it makes you feel, and how it meets your body's unique needs. It's about tuning in to what your body requires and making choices that nourish you on every level. This includes considering the quality and origin of your food: Is it organic or sustainably grown? Was it produced ethically, with fair treatment of workers and animals?

Conscious eating also involves the energy you bring to your meal and what emotional state you are in while cooking and consuming it. Eating in a calm, focused an joyful state support optimal digestion and nutrition absorption, while rushing, stressing and perhaps having negative thoughts, can hinder digestion and reduce the nutritional value of your meal.

A key component of conscious eating is naturally to align your food choices with your personal nutritional needs. Some people may thrive on a plant-based diet, while others may need more protein, or specific nutrients like B12, iron, or omega-3s. Listening to your body and adjusting your diet based on how different foods make you feel is an essential part of the process.

A key aspect of conscious eating is aligning your food choices with your personal nutritional needs. While some may thrive on a plant-based diet, others require more protein or specific nutrients like B12, iron, or omega-3s.

Conscious eating means recognizing when your body needs extra nutrients or when certain foods trigger sensitivities, inflammation, or discomfort. By paying attention to these signals, you can make more informed, intentional food choices that support your overall well-being.

In this context, supplements can play a role in supporting your health. While it’s always best to get your nutrients from whole foods, supplements—like probiotics, digestive enzymes, and essential vitamins and minerals—can help fill in nutritional gaps or support specific health needs.

As a holistic health therapist, my role is to help you create a conscious eating practice that aligns with your unique needs and goals. I’ll guide you in choosing nutrient-dense, ethically sourced foods that nourish your body and fit your values, whether addressing food sensitivities or nutritional gaps. We’ll focus on both what you eat and how you eat. I’ll teach you mindful eating techniques to help you slow down, tune into your body, and create a peaceful environment that supports digestion and a healthier relationship with food. If needed, we’ll explore supplements to fill any nutritional gaps. My goal is to empower you to make informed, intentional food choices that support your health and align with your values, creating a sustainable, nourishing approach to eating that promotes holistic wellness

Hydration

Hydration is one of the most fundamental aspects of maintaining good health, as water plays a crucial role in almost every process in the body. From regulating body temperature to supporting digestion, circulation, and detoxification, staying properly hydrated ensures that your cells, organs, and systems function efficiently. Water helps transport nutrients, flush out toxins, and lubricate joints, making it essential for maintaining energy levels, mental clarity, and overall well-being. When we’re dehydrated, even mildly, it can lead to fatigue, headaches, poor digestion, and a weakened immune system. Over time, chronic dehydration can have more serious effects, impairing kidney function, causing digestive issues, and slowing down metabolic processes.

However, not all water is created equal. The quality of the water we drink can vary greatly depending on where we live, as different regions have different regulations and standards for drinking water. In some areas, tap water is treated with chlorine, fluoride, and other chemicals, which, while effective for sanitation, can be harsh on the body. In other regions, water may contain heavy metals or contaminants that can negatively impact health over time. Even water that looks clear may still contain impurities that aren’t visible to the naked eye. This is why it’s important to understand the source and quality of the water you’re drinking, and in many cases, it can be wise to invest in a water filter system. A good filter can remove harmful substances like chlorine, pesticides, and heavy metals, ensuring that your water is cleaner and safer.

That said, it’s important to note that while filtering water can remove toxins, it can also strip away beneficial minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium, which are essential for proper hydration and overall health. This is where re-mineralizing the water comes into play. Adding minerals back into your filtered water can help restore balance and ensure that your body gets the electrolytes it needs to maintain hydration at a cellular level. There are various ways to do this, including using mineral drops or adding trace minerals that can help the body absorb water more efficiently and support its many processes.

When working together on this essential key, I will help you to optimize your hydration, by ensuring you're drinking enough high-quality water that supports your body’s needs. We'll assess your current hydration habits and identify any areas for improvement. I’ll educate you on the potential contaminants in tap water and guide you in choosing a filtration system that removes harmful substances like chlorine, fluoride, and heavy metals. If you use a filter, I’ll also help you re-mineralize your water, restoring essential minerals that support hydration at a cellular level.

Minimize Inflammation

There are two types of inflammation, acute and chronic. The acute one is triggered by sudden and temporary injuries and infections. The symptoms are usually redness, swelling and some pain, but this tends to heal within a few days.

Chronic inflammation on the other hand persists for months or even years, leaving the body in a constant state of alert. This type has unfortunately become common amongst people in today’s society, though it can be more difficult to discover as the symptoms are more sudden and express over time. Signs of chronic inflammation can for example be fatigue, body pain, depression, anxiety, weight complications , persistent infections etc.

I am here to help you relief the symptoms you are experiencing, as well as treating the root cause of the inflammation, with natural and holistic remedies. As a practitioner, I will share insights about what especially causes inflammation, how it impacts the body and how it can be treated. Together we’ll make a plan for your specific healing journey.

Movement & Exercise

Movement is a key component to improve and maintain good health. Our human experience requires it, as it provides countless of benefits for both the physical, energetic, mental and emotional body. Improved circulation, detoxification, nutrient absorption, brain activity, mood, stress management, strength and improved sleep are just a few examples.

In addition to moving, we want to make stretching a part of our routine as it helps to balance out the body, keeping us flexible and youthful longer. If this is an area in your life where you need a little extra support to create sustainable and joyful habits, we will work together on finding the form and quantity of exercise that works for you, based on your needs, preferences and where you are in life right now.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a transformative practice that profoundly influences every aspect of our well-being—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Through mindfulness, we can cultivate a deep sense of self-awareness and consciousness, allowing us to reconnect with ourselves and navigate life with compassion, purpose, and grace—towards ourselves and others.

In a holistic healing journey, mindfulness serves as a guide to uncovering the layers of stress, discomfort, and blockagesthat may be preventing us from living fully in balance. By becoming more present in our bodies, thoughts, and emotions, we begin to identify the beliefs, patterns, and self-talk that shape our experiences. This awareness is the first step toward releasing trapped emotions, reprogramming limiting beliefs, and creating space for healing on all levels.

Throughout your journey with me, I will introduce you to a variety of mindfulness techniques and practices tailored to your individual needs. Whether you’re seeking relief from stress, looking to break through emotional barriers, or simply hoping to find more peace and clarity in your life, we will explore the practices that resonate most with your unique path. There are many factors that can play into these sleep disturbances, stress being one of the main ones. There are also many other factors that can impair our sleep, such as what and when we eat, exposure to blue light, temperature, etc.

When breathing deep into the belly, in contrast to shallow chest breathing, we can not only reverse physical stress but also calm emotional turbulence. It is a powerful tool that helps to increase the circulation, in order to release both physical and emotional waist.

Nature & Earthing

Spending time in nature sounds simple, yet it has profound impact on our wellbeing. “Earthing” has become a frequently used term amongst health enthusiasts and it’s not for nothing. The ground and its electrical energy rebalances our own. All the elements of nature exist with their own healing and vitalazing properties, which are meant to be a part of human life.

Today, many of us have unfortunately gotten used to a lifestyle closed of from nature, where we live in concrete homes and wear shoes with rubber soles, disabling the energy of the earth to flow through. We spend hours and hours in front of our screens, but don’t make time to step out into the real light, which also is reflected in the health problems of many people.

We need to invite nature back into our lives and make sure it happens on a daily basis to some extent, so that we can absorb all nurturing and healing it will provide.

When working with “Nature “ as a health key, I provide a deeper understanding of these powerful elements and provide guidance in how to frequently connect with them.
